A review of the memorable and affected sites
The feature of this update is that it is unique to Japanese search. Until now, Google's updates, other than anti-spam, have not been differentiated across languages. Although there were some differences in timing, basically the same algorithms were introduced around the same time. This Japanese update is the first time that such a clear update has been made only for Japanese search. However, the same underlying principles of evaluating high-quality content as Panda updates are still taken into account in this algorithm. The sites affected by this update are "low-quality sites" as announced on the official Google Webmaster blog. Although Google has not announced specific media names, it is likely that it is referring to some major curation sites that are new to many people's minds. It should be noted that this is not to say that the curation site itself is at fault, but rather that the writers who created the articles that were published on medical and legal topics lacked specialized knowledge and were posting speculative or false content.
